Module 3 — Test How I Operate · Step 3 of 3 · About 20 min
Review what helped and what it cost
Separate the result, the cost and the explanation, then choose what is worth carrying forward.
Teach
1 of 8Review both what the task produced and what it required. Completing something can be useful evidence, but completion alone does not show that the setup is sustainable. Time, effort, fatigue, discomfort, and support afterward belong in the same picture.
For example, someone finishes a task faster alongside another person but needs more quiet time afterward. “Working alongside someone helped me finish this task and had an energy cost” is more accurate than “I should always work with people.” A result can contain a benefit and a cost at once.
Describe the changed condition, what happened, and anything else that differed. Then separate the observation from your explanation. If the second attempt was easier, familiarity may have mattered as well as the adjustment. You can record that uncertainty instead of choosing one cause.
Your operating note is provisional: “For this task, under these conditions, I noticed this result and this cost.” It is not a personality type, permanent preference, or proof that engagement became harmonious.
Choose whether to keep, change, test again, pause, stop, redirect, or continue looking. You decide what moves forward. A brief observation and an unanswered question are enough; you do not need a complete profile of how you work.
Journal minimum: Save at least one short note in a Try or Reflect box for this lesson. You do not have to answer every question. Write what you noticed, a question, or what you still do not know. If you have not tried the activity, say so. You can use the example instead of personal details. This leaves something to return to in later lessons. Saving is not sharing.
