Map your life right now
Put your real week on one page before planning anything.
Teach
1 of 6Your Life Map is a picture of the life you're living now. It's not an ideal schedule or a picture of who you "should" become. It links what interests you with where, when, and how things really work.
Five areas:
- Places: where things happen, and whether you can get there, feel welcome, and afford it
- Activities anywhere: reading, walking, talking, making, fixing, helping
- Energy: what left you steadier, and what took more than it gave
- Barriers: cost, transport, childcare, access, schedules, credentials
- Threads: questions or activities you keep coming back to
"I liked the library workshop, but it's at night when I work" holds two facts: an interest and a scheduling barrier. Neither cancels the other. A barrier is a condition, not a character flaw.
You don't have to fill every area or turn anything into a plan. One line is a fine start. Empty spots tell you something too. You choose which journal entries, if any, to link.
Journal minimum: Save at least one short note in a Try or Reflect box for this lesson. You do not have to answer every question. Write what you noticed, a question, or what you still do not know. If you have not tried the activity, say so. You can use the example instead of personal details. This leaves something to return to in later lessons. Saving is not sharing.
Show — a neutral example, never a participant story
