Getting Started · Step 4 of 6 · About 10 min
What makes it work for you
Name what you need to show up, sharing only what you want.
Teach
1 of 7This is your support plan: a short note on what helps you show up. It's not a test of commitment, a medical history, or a consent form. Personal support details are optional, and you can change them anytime. Still save one short journal note about this lesson; “Nothing to add about support right now” is enough if that is true.
Things to think about:
- How you like to take part: speaking, writing, working privately, or watching
- Access: reading or language support, hearing or vision, seating, mobility, breaks
- Tech: shared device, phone only, limited data
- Life logistics: childcare, transport, work shifts, your schedule
Describe what you need, not why. "I can read on my phone, but I need paper for longer writing" is enough. No diagnosis or history needed.
A request starts a conversation. It isn't a promise that the program already offers it. Ask staff who handles support requests; this contact still needs confirmation.
If something goes wrong: The concern contact still needs confirmation from staff.
Journal minimum: Save at least one short note in a Try or Reflect box for this lesson. You do not have to answer every question. Write what you noticed, a question, or what you still do not know. If you have not tried the activity, say so. You can use the example instead of personal details. This leaves something to return to in later lessons. Saving is not sharing.
Show — a neutral example, never a participant story
