Your rights and privacy
See what's shared, what isn't, and what you can say no to.
Teach
1 of 7Joining doesn't mean agreeing to everything. These are five separate choices:
- Taking part: coming to sessions and doing the activities
- Evaluation: giving feedback about how the program is working
- Recording: audio, video, or photos
- Story or publicity use: your words or image used to talk about the program
- Follow-up: being contacted after the program
A yes to one is not a yes to the others. Any new use of your words or image needs a new ask.
You can always:
- Choose what you share
- Pass on any question
- Ask who can see what's stored about you
- Ask for a correction
- Raise a concern
You never need to share addiction, legal, medical, or diagnostic history to take part. If you need something practical, you can ask for it without saying why.
About privacy in the group: Staff can't promise that everyone in the group will keep what you say to themselves. Share with that in mind.
About this site: Check how your answers are stored and what sharing sends before entering sensitive information. On a shared or public device, other people using it may be able to see what you enter.
This page explains your choices. It is not the consent form. Consent forms are separate; when and how you'll receive them still needs confirmation from staff.
Where to go
- Who can see your records: Staff still need to confirm who can see stored information. Ask before entering sensitive details.
- To correct something: The correction route still needs confirmation from staff.
- To raise a concern: The concern contact still needs confirmation from staff.
Journal minimum: Save at least one short note in a Try or Reflect box for this lesson. You do not have to answer every question. Write what you noticed, a question, or what you still do not know. If you have not tried the activity, say so. You can use the example instead of personal details. This leaves something to return to in later lessons. Saving is not sharing.
