Naming a try means describing one manageable action and what you hope to learn from it. You are not naming a permanent project or promising a successful result. This module has three moves: name the try, do the try, and notice what it taught.

A try can be Create, Practice, or Move forward. Create might mean making a rough sample. Practice might mean attempting one beginner task. Move forward might mean reviewing actual course requirements or taking one accessible pathway step. None needs to become a business offer.

For example, “Spend fifteen minutes making a paper sketch to see whether I enjoy arranging information” is more bounded than “Build a website.” It names an action, a learning question, and a time limit without requiring a finished product.

Before starting, record what the try should teach, its scope, its limit, and its stop rule. Include practical conditions or support needed. A stop rule tells you when to end or change the activity; it is part of the plan, not an obstacle to success.

An ethical invitation or offer is optional. No payment, customer response, public exposure, or second try is required. Planning only, observing a demonstration, or attempting with support are also valid routes.

Journal minimum: Save at least one short note in a Try or Reflect box for this lesson. You do not have to answer every question. Write what you noticed, a question, or what you still do not know. If you have not tried the activity, say so. You can use the example instead of personal details. This leaves something to return to in later lessons. Saving is not sharing.
